Captain Ripley is tasked with discovering why contact with the planet Archeron, where a colony of space pioneers lives, has been interrupted. The woman, reluctantly, finds herself once again facing the proliferation of the alien monster she had already escaped, and once again completes the mission. After the planetary success of the first episode, Sigourney "Ripley" Weaver returns to face "the alien" par excellence. Behind the camera, Ridley Scott passes the baton to James Cameron, another great director specializing in high-budget megaproductions. The result is an excellent sci-fi horror, richer in action and effects than the first episode, but perhaps, for this reason, with less suspense. Considered by many to be superior to the first "Alien," it is certainly one of the best sequels in cinema history.
