A camera crew unearths a thousand year old vampire from Mesopotamia. Years after his rise from the grave, the vampire becomes a famous horror film director and holds auditions for his up and coming film. Four young hopefuls are chosen and are invited to spend the night at the vampire's house. At dinner the vampire reveals his true nature to his guests and the real reason why they are there, to kill him before dawn, as he has grown bored with his existence.

A group of young actors is invited to dinner by the director of their next film. The movie they are to act in tells the story of a group of young people who fall into the clutches of a terrible vampire, and as it happens, the young people soon discover that the director is none other than a vampire... Produced by Reteitalia for television, it is, along with "A Night at the Cemetery", the worst film directed by Bava Jr. A plot that is at best laughable, make-up and special effects ignoble, actors as usual mediocre (among whom stands out for his inexpressiveness the unfortunate television face of Riccardo Rossi). Another misstep for Lamberto Bava.
