In the city of Milan, it snows continuously for 90 days; the city is now blocked, food is beginning to run out, shops are closing one after another, and no snowplow has passed in three days. Mario is a young man who lives alone, isolated from the outside world by the heavy snowfall, and lives in a dimension between nightmare and reality. Mario is a ruthless serial killer who has killed almost all the inhabitants of his building, now he is waiting for the last survivor of the building to return home to kill her… This crazy short film, lasting approximately 9 minutes, marks the foray into horror by director Alberto Genovese. The plot of "Neve" was inspired by a heavy snowfall that actually occurred in Milan, of course, that snowfall did not last 90 days but only 3 days, during which the filming of this short took place. Beautiful the shots that are often accompanied by a sound commentary really perfectly synchronized. Very beautiful, then, and sometimes a bit trashy some scenes (like the one with the robot, just to mention one) but always full of unhealthy and crazy air. Good the unexpected final scene. The only flaw of "Neve" is that sometimes the dialogues are a bit hard to understand due to the audio being a bit too dirty, but otherwise everything is appreciated, all the more so if one considers that we have before us a zero-budget product and therefore to have only the audio as a flaw, it is really perfect! Overall, this "Neve" is more than a good short film where every second breathes air of madness! Rating rounded down.
