PERCEZIONI

Kevin is a boy who lives in the most absolute loneliness and alcoholism. Very often Kevin has hallucinations where a masked man is always present. Who is the masked man and what does he want from Kevin? «Percezioni» is a short film lasting about 22 minutes, by the Italian director Francesco Borrasso. The theme of this short film is «the man», highlighted by an excellent introduction with the clown (played by the director himself) who is perfectly described with a wink to the themes dear to the great Italian writer Luigi Pirandello. Structured with a rather simple plot that does not boast of originality, this «Percezioni» finds its true strong point in the atmosphere that at certain moments is really perfect, thanks to the help of very disturbing music and chilling locations. Excellent the moral that this short film teaches us: never give up and we must always move forward because each of us can be really important to someone else! The presence of the moral is an excellent idea, also original, which earns it half a point more! Overall, «Percezioni» is a really interesting short film, that does not bore the viewer but manages to entertain them while also teaching them something. Recommended to everyone, especially to those people who get discouraged in front of difficulties! Rating rounded up.
