•A diabolical owner of a laundry tortures, kills, and tears apart his customers in the work press. A detective, at his own risk, begins to investigate the suspicious disappearances. The duo Tobe Hooper (direction) and Robert Englund (lead actor) of "That Motel Near the Swamp" directed by the same Hooper in 1976 is reformed. The story, based on one of King's worst tales, is rather shaky, the screenplay is not up to par, and Englund, by now, whatever role he plays, always acts like Freddy Krueger. Too bad because the premises for a good film were all there (Hooper's direction, King's tale, Englund as the lead...!). A disappointment!
