Terrifier 4: The fourth chapter of the saga will unveil the origins of Art the clown

It has been almost a year since "Terrifier 3" brought Art the Clown back to the big screen, with the third chapter premiering in theaters on Halloween 2024.

It is now confirmed that the infamous clown "Art" will indeed return to the big screen, as "Terrifier 4" is already in the works, specifically in the pre-production phase. Director Damien Leone is currently finalizing the screenplay. While many details remain under wraps, the actor portraying Art the Clown, David Howard Thornton, has revealed that the fourth and possibly final chapter of the saga will feature an epic and extremely crazy ending, bolstered by a substantial dose of violence and gore effects.

While the first film was considered an underground gem for fans of the genre, it was with "Terrifier 2" that the saga made a leap towards a more mainstream audience. The second chapter of the franchise grossed $15 million at the box office, with a production budget of just $250,000. The third chapter, on the other hand, set yet another box office record.

What we can expect from "Terrifier 4" is a significant increase in violence and bloodshed to the extreme, as well as the perversions that made the previous chapters so successful. The franchise is specifically tailored for fans of the genre, those who watch the film already knowing what to expect.

According to some rumors, "Terrifier 4" will reveal the origins of the sadistic and perverse Art the Clown, played by David Howard Thornton, who lends his body and gestures to the character, as Art does not emit sounds or speak—a detail that makes him even darker and more disturbing. Although no release date has been disclosed yet, we know for certain that David Howard Thornton and Lauren LaVera will once again be confirmed in the cast.
