Un jeune couple se retrouve piégé dans un cinéma par un projectionniste psychopathe, qui les observe au travers des caméras de sécurité en les poussant à agir de la manière qu'il a prévue dans son "scénario". Grâce à son intelligence sadique, un vieux projectionniste dépassé par la technologie décide de tourner son propre film, et de se venger au passage du public et de son chef qui le traite...
