A group of American soldiers, long prisoners in Vietnam, end up going mad and becoming cannibals. Back in their city, they start infecting the poor fellow citizens of Atlanta by biting them and transforming them into zombie-like creatures hungry for human flesh. The police will eventually stop the group of ex-soldiers, but... final twist. It can be safely defined as Margheriti's only splatter film, who never liked this type of horror. Decent, performed in a superior manner compared to the standard level of Italian horror films of the period. Good the splatter sequences with effects carefully crafted once again by the excellent Giannetto De Rossi. Hard to find on VHS, beware of the version broadcast on television because it is horribly censored!
