An American scholar travels to the Amazon to corroborate her thesis that cannibalism never existed, but it would be an invention of white colonialism. Unfortunately for the young woman, her belief is, in part, incorrect and both she and her expedition will face a bad adventure. Another film from the period about cannibals that, however, does not offer, like other films, particular elements to be remembered: story copied from the more famous "Cannibal Holocaust" by Deodato, predictable scenes, effects decently made but too "excessive". The only truly "shocking" frames are those in which an unfortunate young woman is hung, through hooks that pierce her breasts, and suspended in mid-air; everything else (evirations, mutilations, etc.) is the usual catalog of atrocities already seen in other films of the same genre. To be seen only in the uncut version (which is naturally not the one that is occasionally broadcast on television).
