•Little Charlie has paranormal powers that she cannot perfectly control, especially due to her tender age. When American secret services discover this "quality," they try to kidnap the girl from her natural parents, even going so far as to kill her father. At this point, the little girl unleashes all her powers to avenge the wrong done to her. Based on the eponymous story by King, this "Uncontrollable Paranormal Phenomena" is an excellent film closer to a thriller than to horror. Enhanced by a great performance by Geroge C. Scott, in the role of the assassin pursuing the girl, and a very young but talented Drew Barrymore (at the time acclaimed as a true star thanks to the success of "ET"). Do not expect blood and fear, but the film still manages to maintain "narrative tension" throughout its duration.
