A doctor from a small town sees his professional reputation ruined by the death of his young wife, for which he is held responsible. As if that were not enough, his little daughter disappears and some suspect that the doctor buried her alive. Excellent thriller-horror by William Castle, along with "13 Ghosts" (inedito in Italia) and "La Casa dei Fantasmi", one of the best horrors of the inventive director. This time, Castle decides to scare without using the "tricks of the trade" of previous films (such as the "Illusion-O" glasses provided to spectators for "13 Ghosts"), but rather relying on dark and suspense-filled atmospheres, and the choice proves absolutely spot on. To be rediscovered.
