A Protestant priest, following an exorcism, becomes prey to the same evil spirit he was trying to expel, and now haunts the house where an unsuspecting family moves in. He will persecute the poor unfortunate ones until they decide to move out. Fifth and most disappointing chapter of the saga of the "cursed houses" made in Italy (the first two are "House 3 - Ghosthouse" and "House 4 - Witchcraft"), once again produced by Joe D'amato with an entirely American crew and cast; this time the direction is entrusted to Claudio Fragasso. The screenplay is not the pinnacle of originality and pays too many tributes to classics of the genre (from "The Exorcist" to the "Amityville" series), rehashing already seen situations and a rather slow pace. Even the protagonist David Brandon, in the role of the possessed priest, is not convincing at all. In short, a completely negligible horror film that we advise against watching.
