•In the southern United States, a lawyer with severe psychological problems returns, after several years, to a hotel where he had witnessed, helplessly, the massacre of his girlfriend. He will take a room right next to the one where, years before, the incident occurred, and memories and frustrations resurface in a mix of reality and fiction... Written and produced by the Avati brothers, this film is the first horror thriller that Fabrizio Laurenti directed under their auspices. Filmed during Avati's American stay, this film, along with "Dove Comincia la Notte" by Zaccaro, is part of an ideal trilogy of thrillers stemming from the underrated "Amico d'Infanzia" by the legendary Pupi. The actors (Mark Benninghofen, Thomas Patrick, and Mary Sellers) are not quite at ease, partly due to their lack of experience, but the final result is still a good product, even though the critics of the time did not hesitate to call it "intellectual and convoluted". It is worth noting that the poor distribution prejudiced its commercial success (there is only one VHS edition by De Laurentiis).
