•A tree where evil spirits dwell becomes the site of human sacrifices. A young couple will temporarily put an end to such atrocity. The film marks the return to horror cinema by Friedkin, the director of "The Exorcist", the most famous horror of all time. The result is rather disappointing, except for the good start, in fact, the film gradually loses itself in mediocrity and predictability. From the director who, with his previous film, had shocked and terrified the public of the whole world, one could expect more.
