"This Is Not a Test is a deeply frustrating experience that collapses under the weight of its own technical shortcomings and narrative shortcuts. While it begins with the visceral energy of a promising survival horror flick, the movie quickly dissolves into a disjointed series of scenes marred by erratic editing, unmotivated character conflicts, and a screenplay that fails to breathe life into its central themes of hope, trauma, and resilience. Despite Olivia Holt's earnest efforts to ground the story, the lack of a cohesive structural logic makes it impossible to connect with the protagonist's journey from despair to survival. Ultimately, it's a missed opportunity to explore the human psyche against a bleak backdrop."
