A young man discovers that his neighbor is a vampire who has already been involved in numerous crimes in the area; he reports it to the police but, naturally, no one believes him. He must therefore defeat him alone to save his life and that of his girlfriend, in the task he is however helped by a horror movie star, the only one who has been willing to believe his story. With this "Vampire Killer", Tom Holland becomes known among horror fans, a genre in which he will later achieve consecration thanks to the direction of "Child's Play". The film is pleasant and above all very fluid, enhanced by excellent special effects and directed with a steady hand; suitable especially for a young audience. Perhaps the only flaw of the film is the lack of truly terrifying scenes, since Holland decided to give the film a more "soft" atmosphere, almost like a comedy-horror.
