An elderly writer presents to a publisher the material that proves cats can become terrible killers if driven by hatred towards someone. The publisher, after reading the three stories of the manuscript presented by the writer, decides to burn it, while the poor writer meets the horrible end told in his book... Played by three actors "specialized" in the genre like Donald Pleasence ("Halloween"), Peter Cushing ("The Mummy" of 1958) and Samantha Eggar ("Brood"), this "Claws" is a decent thriller-horror that remains smooth until the end, although it lacks sequences of great suspense. A sufficiently good job but that does not leave a mark.
