•Jane, former child prodigy, has been surpassed in cinematic success by her sister Blanche. The two, now adults, live together in the same house, and when Blanche has an accident that leaves her immobile, the wicked Jane begins to devise a plan for revenge… A classic of suspense perfectly performed by two of the most famous cinematic stars of the sixties: Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. The more malicious critics claim that the two actresses owe the success of their performance to the fact that they were not acting at all! Indeed, it was known to everyone the great rivalry and envy, very close to hatred, that the two had for each other; that's why they had no difficulty playing the roles of two sister-enemies. Definitely closer to dramatic thriller than to horror, it becomes, however, a classic of the thrill for its dark settings and its atmospheres rich in suspense. Recommended.
