•In London in 2008, Detective Stone, assisted by a young colleague, conducts a ruthless hunt for a ferocious serial killer who eats the hearts of his victims and traces esoteric symbols and messages with their blood at the crime scene. With an atmosphere reminiscent of "Blade Runner" (dominant darkness and heavy rain), with some nods to "Aliens" and even a "river" to "Jaws", this film is part of that series of fantasy-horror films that were made in abundance in the 1980s and early 1990s ("Leviathan", "The Creature from the Deep", "CHUD", etc.). The gothic atmosphere is not bad, and neither is the story, although it is sometimes a bit too confusing and does not provide many explanations (but perhaps that was the intention... bah). The special effects hold up without excess, while some scenes are well done and offer some moments of good (but not excellent) tension. In the role of the protagonist, we recognize the great Rutger Hauer ("The Hitcher", but especially "Blade Runner"), unfortunately trapped in a B-movie production. In conclusion, a decent film, neither infamy nor praise. Maybe it deserved half a skull more.
