•Several terrible murders shake Paris, particularly the area of Morgue Street. A fierce and elusive killer first kills a vagabond and then massacres two women in their home. The police and the city's prefect are in the dark, an elderly retired commissioner will solve the case. It is a decent TV thriller-horror, adapted from a Poe story, enhanced by the presence, in the lead role, of the great George C. Scott ("Changeling", "Hardcore") and a young but already talented Val Kilmer. Few scenes of blood (after all, it is a film for television), a not too complex and easily guessable plot, a flawless but uninspired direction. The film is available on VHS.
