A woman, before being burned at the stake, casts a curse on her country and especially on Count Kurt, who had her unjustly condemned, making her take the blame for a crime he himself committed. Shortly afterward, even the older daughter of the supposed witch is murdered by Kurt's father, guilty of having also abused her with the promise of saving her mother. As the year 1499 comes to an end, as predicted by the woman, a terrible plague epidemic breaks out, marking the beginning of the witch's terrible revenge. A decent 1960s horror film directed by one of our "genre specialists" and well acted by the icon of horror films of the period, Barbara Steele. Suitable especially for fans of Italian Gothic horror.
