A mad killer dressed as a clown terrorizes the small town of Derry, some children manage to kill him but not definitively. After several years, the malevolent being returns to take revenge on those who had tried to eliminate him, who are now adults. In the end, they will prevail but at the cost of numerous losses. Cinematic adaptation of King's eponymous story, the film is gripping and in some points even terrifying, pity it falls spectacularly (like the story it is based on) in the ending. The director cannot be blamed, except for the choice to follow King's story line by line. The last part of the film makes it lose a "pumpkin", before the ending it deserved four.
