A butler in the service of his master is obsessed with the master's glass eye. His obsession drives him every night, at midnight, to go to his master's bedroom and check that the eyelid containing the glass eye is closed; but one night... A short film lasting just over 20 minutes inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's story "The Tell-Tale Heart". Excellent is the performance of Alessandro Silvio (who plays the role of the butler in the short film) who manages to perfectly immerse us in a whirlwind of absolute madness; good is the performance of Fulvio Scattolini (who plays the role of the master in the short film). Excellent are the music by Marco Giannoni, which manage to mark the rhythm of the tension very well during the duration of the short film. It is noticed that the director Alberto Carbone is not a novice, in fact before "A Nervous Man" he had already tried his hand at the horror short film "Lymphatica" and the thriller "Gilda 2000", demonstrating, in the work examined, knowing how to use the camera. "A Nervous Man" is a short film that is based on madness with the absence of splatter effects but with a lot of rhythm and a sense of unease that lingers throughout the duration of the film. In short, 20 minutes of pure madness well acted and with good tension, created mainly by the background voices during the succession of events. "A Nervous Man" has participated in various short film competitions (including the 2005 edition of the "Joe D'Amato Horror Festival") and has had the opportunity to be appreciated on various occasions! A good short film recommended to all fans of E. A. Poe, for those who appreciate "underground" horror and for all horror lovers in general. In Italy, horror exists and this is demonstrated by the many short films that are self-produced every year by the directors themselves and "A Nervous Man" is part of these works.
