•Around the secluded Lake Placid, in Maine, a mysterious creature is slaughtering animals and people. An investigative group sets out on the trail of the creature that at the scene of the attacks has left a gigantic prehistoric tooth. Directed by a specialist in the genre (Steve Miner boasts titles such as "L'Assassino ti Siede Accanto" and "H 20"), "Lake Placid" is a rather predictable film and, unfortunately, not very bloody. There was no real need for a film with a huge alligator as the protagonist... when will they decide to produce more original films! Little or nothing to save for a film that is still smooth, also due to its short duration. Suitable especially for fans of beast-movies.
