REVIEWS (1)
A newlywed couple arrives on a Spanish island for a vacation, but they soon realize a disturbing and strange fact: the islet is inhabited only by children, the adults having been massacred by the children. It will be difficult for the protagonists to convince themselves that the only way to save their skin is to eliminate the children... A small cult of Spanish production that is mainly remembered for the cruelty of some sequences and for the subject (child killers who kill and are killed) that caused no small controversy around the film at its release. An excellent product: original, disturbing, claustrophobic, rich in suggestions and psychological twists. Worth seeing but very hard to find. Curiosity: the original version of the film - available only in Spanish import DVD - includes an unbearable documentary on the physical and psychological torture inflicted on children in extermination camps.
