•Stories of ordinary madness set "in hell" of the Italian school; all in an ironic-splatter key. The film is directed by two young independent directors and was produced with a few million lire, so you have to "overlook" the mediocrity of the actors (mostly non-professionals) and the scarcity of special effects (still funny); although the originality of the idea and the protest message launched against the "terrible" Italian school environment are to be appreciated, the film is still a bit "confusionary", uninvolving, resolving, in my opinion, into a failed experiment. Practically not distributed in our theaters (where only the "author" films of the Vanzina brothers dominate for weeks) and very hard to find on tape, the rights to this debut work by the duo Zarantonello – Lenadro have been acquired by Troma, an American production company specializing in the horror-trash genre, which will distribute it in America. If you love Troma productions and trash in general, "Medely" is for you, otherwise, stay away!
