The mad West and his companion Cain had a mission in Peru. They discover that their powerful serum, when mixed with a substance present in the blood of the iguana, can bring back to life individual parts of the body without necessarily depending on the brain. Thus, they start their mad experiments again. Yuzna, a specialist in « excessive » horror, directs this sequel which, if possible, is even more gruesome and over the top than the first chapter. Extreme splatter and an inevitable ironic vein blend perfectly together; excellent special effects and great imagination in the creation of the « beings » created by the two mad doctors by joining various parts of human bodies. The original title « Bride of Re-Animator » aims to be a clear homage to « The Bride of Frankenstein » from 1935. If you loved the first one, you will also like this second episode even if it is more openly « comedic ».
