•In the same American college, strange murders of young students occur one after another... Given the success that « Scary Movie » has achieved worldwide, imitations were inevitable, just like the sequels, the epigones; and so here comes this « Shriek », a rather unsuccessful parody of the most famous horror films of recent times. Clichés, simplistic parodies, and jokes from the worst Italian comedy (with « bodily effects » included) all seasoned with actors who, instead of being likable, only manage to irritate. Throughout the film, there are (perhaps) only a couple of « decent » jokes, the rest is an hour and a half (poor) of boredom. In comparison, even the comedies of the Vanzina brothers seem « good films », and this speaks volumes... It would be funny to know what the director and actors thought when they saw their « work » complete... Movies of this kind make you lose the desire to go to the cinema !
