Per evitare una figura dalle sembianze di un fantasma sulla strada, uno studente all'ultimo anno delle superiori Brent Mitchell finisce con la sua macchina contro un albero, uccidendo così il padre. Costantemente confrontato con il collasso emozionale della madre dopo l'incidente, Brent scappa in un mondo di marijuana e musica metal per bloccare il dolore e la colpa. Abbattuto ed infelice, ha un po' di felicità solo con la sua ragazza Holly, una persona dolce e bella, un appuntamento da sogno per il ballo di fine anno. Ma i suoi piani sono ostacolati da una serie di strani eventi che accadono sotto una palla di vetro da discoteca, coinvolgendo seta rosa, glitter, unghie, siringhe, un trapano elettrico e un ammiratore segreto.

Really good watch, would watch again, and can recommend.
If you're into realistic horror/abduction, then this is a great one to add to your list.
This seems like a low budget Australian movie, but they use what they have very well. Most of the movie takes place in a little house out in the sticks, and its the cinematic shots that really make the movie as good as it is.
It's very hard to talk about without spoilers, but the movie builds a great atmosphere with weight to it.
Probably the worst thing it does is show the best friend character having a "normal" prom night that is almost completely unrelated to the horror movie. It really is a double helix rom-com -- survival-horror of a movie.
If you like "People Under the Stairs", "Don't Breathe", or any of the "Saw" movies, then you'd likely enjoy this.
