A couple, after losing their little boy, decide to move to the countryside to forget the tragic experience and to try to start a new life. Upon arriving at their new home, strange events immediately begin to occur. He, a writer in crisis, in search of inspiration for a new bestseller, suddenly regains his creative vein. She, on the other hand, receives omens of death that announce her imminent end. To this must be added strange apparitions, nightmares, and mysterious voices. After initial doubts and various researches, the young wife will manage to uncover the mystery surrounding the strange and sinister dwelling. In reality, the house stands on a swamp where, in previous centuries, numerous people had been drowned, whose souls now demand revenge, thirsty for blood... Classic B-movie about haunted houses that certainly doesn't shine for originality. More than evident are the references to "classics" of the genre such as "Shining", "Poltergeist" and even "Pet Sematary". The film adds nothing new to the "haunted house" genre, but rather copies and plunders all the clichés in a shameful way. After an interesting start, a certain boredom sets in, which not even the final lines manage to erase. The classic happy ending then completely ruins the film... in short, almost a disaster! If you love ghost stories, we highly recommend other films, such as "After Life" or "Deadly Echoes", certainly more interesting and unjustly too little known. Leave this one more than willingly on the shelf of your video library. If you opt for rental, don't say we didn't warn you!
