After escaping with Newt and Hicks from the alien planet, Ripley crash lands on Fiorina 161, a prison planet and host to a correctional facility. Unfortunately, although Newt and Hicks do not survive the crash, a more unwelcome visitor does. The prison does not allow weapons of any kind, and with aid being a long time away, the prisoners must simply survive in any way they can.

Fiorino 161, a planet far, far away from Earth, is a sort of immense isolation prison. Indeed, the worst criminals in the universe are locked up there. Ripley is detached to this planet and, as expected, she will once again have to face "the creature"... Co-produced by director Walter Hill ("The Warriors") and also by the series' leading actress Sigourney Weaver, the film is directed by an emerging director like David Fincher, who will later achieve worldwide success with "Seven". Less technological than the other chapters but darker, with a Weaver who is increasingly androgynous (shaved bald for the occasion), the film is less fluid than the previous episodes and, apart from the originality of the setting, somewhat repetitive.
