•Terror begins to creep in when the crew of the spaceship Nostromo investigates a transmission from a desolate planet and makes a shocking discovery: an alien life form is gestating in the womb of a human being. At this point, the crew must fight not only for their own survival but also for that of the entire human race.
A classic of science fiction that, for the numerous scenes of violence (some sequences are on the edge of splatter) and for the great suspense, can be counted among the best fanta-horror of all time.
Directed by British director Ridley Scott and winner of an Oscar for special effects (to which the great Italian special effects artist Carlo Rambaldi also contributed), "Alien" has indelibly marked genre cinema of the last twenty years, becoming a cult and a reference point - as well as a model to "plunder" ideas - for all subsequent films of the same subject.
Scott's film is the first chapter of one of the most successful sagas (both with the public and critics) in the history of science fiction cinema and has created the iconic character of the steel woman, the androgynous Captain Ripley perfectly played by Sigourney Weaver, who will then be taken up in many other genre films. An absolute must-see pioneer of horror sci-fi!
