A beautiful vampire suddenly struck by fits of "thirst" sucks the blood of anyone in her path. One night she attacks the boss of the most important mafia family in the city, fails to finish her "meal" and leaves her victim dying. A serious mistake: in fact, the criminal has now also become a vampire and is determined, thanks to his new powers, to take possession of the city. The beautiful vampire, with the help of a police officer, will try to stop him... Return to horror for Landis after the huge success of "An American Werewolf in London" and this time, and in an even more marked way compared to his previous film, Landis gives the film more of a comic-ironic starting point by transforming it into a kind of "female" version of his famous masterpiece. Genre lovers will recognize several more or less explicit references to other horror films like "The Dark Half" and "The Kiss of the Vampire"; in two small cameos appear Landis' friends directors Sam Raimi and Dario Argento. Excellent the protagonist Anne Parillaud ("Nikita").
