A group of young people spend the night in a small house near a forest populated by demons and evil spirits that will not let them have a quiet night. Along with "Demons 3" by Lenzi and "Zombi 3" by Mattei, "The Forest 1" competes for the title of the worst horror film of all time! Interpretations bordering on ridiculous, non-existent screenplay and plot, "supermarket" special effects, and an absolute lack of directorial skill are just the most glaring flaws of the film. Despite its terrible ugliness, the film had the "honor" of also being distributed in America by Troma production under the title "Evil Clutch", even in a specially extended version; probably due to the Americans' passion for trash. Finally, it is unclear why the number one was included in the title, perhaps the director or the production thought that after this "masterpiece" someone would have the courage to make a sequel? ... no one knows! Not recommended, it is only watchable if seen with a humorous spirit!
