Italian director Domenico Natella directs this experimental and independent feature film, lasting approximately 73 minutes. The film is loosely based on a short story of the same name by writer Felice Turturiello.
"Fragole a mezzanotte" is a film rich in perversion, where the main unusual object is (as the title already suggests) strawberries.
This feature film is characterized by a slow, sometimes hypnotic narrative that makes "Fragole a mezzanotte" a work that can be either loved or hated!
Excellent the dark atmosphere created by the photography of Elena Fedeli and excellent the choice of music that succeeds in matching it well, a true strong point on which the entire feature film is based. There is great applause for the director who puts together a truly original, hallucinatory, and very strange work! It is difficult to fully describe and judge this work, which undoubtedly presents itself as a good product, very original, but which will surely leave many with a bitter taste in their mouth.
Recommended for those seeking original works and for those who are tired of films with plots that smell of "seen it before"!
Rating rounded down.
