First film by the late Joe D'Amato (who, for the first and only time in his long career, signs the film with his given name Aristide Massaccesi) who debuts with a good giallo - horror that, despite some apparent inconsistencies and numerous dark passages, unfolds pleasantly through a chain of bloody crimes and various atrocities until the "strange" and disturbing ending. The protagonists (including the great Klaus Kinski) certainly give a hand to the debuting Massaccesi, who already directs this film with discreet technique and security. A film definitely worth discovering.
