A young man, while defending his girlfriend attacked by a werewolf, is bitten by the beast and infected by its disease. Transformed into a werewolf, he loses all control and tears apart anyone he encounters, he would even kill his own girlfriend if he were not stopped and killed by his own father. The first film about werewolves in the history of horror cinema. Starring the great Lon Chaney and directed by George Waggner, it is a classic of 1940s horror. Suitable for genre enthusiasts, yet admirable for the years it was made.
