NIGHT KILLER

Non aprite quella porta 3

1990 IT HMDB
August 3, 1990

Melanie Beck is the only surviving victim of a killer-rapist who wears a Freddy Krueger-esque mask and claw. Despite having seen the killer's face, Beck has blocked it from her memory. Becoming suicidal, she tries to kill herself on the beach but is saved by Axel, another rapist sleazeball who keeps her locked in his hotel room. All this builds to a mind blowing conclusion.

Melanie is attacked by a maniac, she manages to save herself but remains in shock. Her husband tries to help her recover, but the crazy man comes back to eliminate her forever. To avoid any misunderstanding, it is immediately emphasized that the film in question has absolutely nothing to do with the series created by Tobe Hooper, of which it has only "stolen" the title to try to "catch" a little more audience (a commercial operation, by the way, quite frequent among genre films). The director is Claudio Fragasso ("After Death"; "Monster Dog") who, in his career as a horror director, has not really accumulated many successes; and in this case also the movie does not convince: exasperatingly slow pace, thin screenplay, unconvincing story and poorly defined characters. Pure Series B, someone might define it as trash.
