This film pays homage to the film makers of the 70's and tells the dramatic story of the vampire Carmilla. She has been condemned by the Devil to endless pain:she's dead but is forced to be still living for ever and ever. The story is set in undefined place and undetermined time; all the characters will meet, against their will, the charming vampire. This is a movie of gloomy and romantic atmospheres supported by an enthralling soundtrack and a photography with peculiar colours which call up again a good period for italian cinematography.

Atmosfere sfocate, musica sublime e soffice...per la rilettura di un classico della narrativa vampirica come "Carmilla" di Johsep Sheridan LeFanu. Sicuramente il più bel fim di Roger A. Fratter, regista poliedrico e sensazionalista con spiccate doti di montatore. Tutto gravita attorno ad una ragazza, in un luogo e in un tempo non definito, che ragiona e soffre sulla sua natura da vampira: affascinate e perversa al tempo stesso...sedute spiritiche, riti e passione per un dichiarato omaggio ai periodi d'ora del cinema nostrano. Merita sicuramente una visione. Fratter dietro la MdP è ispirato, gli attori (Elisabetta Principe su tutti) danno il meglio di loro. Da segnalare l'ottima scenografia. Un bravo a Lorenzo Rogan per la fotografia.
