A wealthy businessman leaves his girlfriend to follow a mysterious young woman he met on the beach and, in an attempt to defend himself during an attack, kills his mysterious assailant, whose body inexplicably disappears shortly after. Some time later, the man is attacked again and once again manages to save his skin by eliminating the attacker; at this point, the protagonist begins to believe he is the victim of a plan, organized by his brother, to try to kill him, but the truth is different and far more terrible... Perhaps the most famous giallo-horror directed by Lenzi and considered, by critics, a minor masterpiece in its genre. The story is certainly original, but the screenplay and subject are so confused that the viewer has difficulty clearly understanding the development of the plot. The cast, almost entirely composed of foreign actors, is not of great quality, and the direction does not seem particularly inspired. You cannot fail it completely, but you cannot praise it as one of the best products of Italian giallo-horror either.
