Un avejentado alquimista colecciona en su mansión maléfica todo tipo de monstruos: zombies, gnomos, arañas, alienígenas, muppets y viejos fantasmas. En tal circunstancia aprovecha la incidental visita de un grupo de parejas imbéciles, para sacrificarlos y revivir a su esposa que ha estado durmiendo los últimos setenta años.

Creative, fun, cartoonish âBâ horror from the mid-80s
Two carloads of partiers in their 20s-30s make the mistake of stopping at a mansion with a graveyard curiously right by it. Something diabolical is going on and they might not make it out alive!
âSpookiesâ (1986) is similar to prior 80âs flicks like "Hell Night" or "Frightmare" and would influence soon-to-come ones, such as "Doom Asylum," "Waxwork" and âDeadly Manor.â Itâs low-budget, but imaginative and amusing, not to mention you canât beat the 80âs ambiance. You could say itâs one of those âso bad itâs goodâ flicks.
There are a few highlights on the feminine front: Redhead Joan Ellen Delaney (Linda), blonde Charlotte Seeley/Alexandra (Adrienne, the smoker) and the bride Maria Pechukas (Isabelle).
It runs 1 hour, 25 minutes, and was shot northeast of New York City in Rye, which is near the border of southwest Connecticut.
