Dans une banlieue tranquille des années 80, une baby-sitter est assassinée par un mystérieux tueur masqué surnommé le Faucheur. Des années plus tard, Deena, une jeune étudiante, revient dans sa ville natale et accepte de garder le fils du shérif local, sans savoir que le meurtrier est de retour. Alors que le shérif reçoit d’inquiétantes cassettes révélant des indices du passé, Deena devient la nouvelle cible du Faucheur, déclenchant une nuit de terreur et de révélations autour d’une vengeance cachée.

We have us an old-fashioned case of Horror who done it going on, and it doesn't look good for our local authorities. What a vile person this Killer is, too bad our main character is an amazing thinker. I hate to say it, but I'm very impressed with this "who done it" film. They actually had from the go, and I'm very surprised and freaking overjoyed at the outcome...

From its 1980s setting, to its unsettling horror trope of a late night babysitting gig for a young teenager that goes horrifically wrong -- NIGHT OF THE REAPER is not a bad viewing experience to kick off this Halloween season.
Writer and director Brandon Christenson clearly understands suspense horror, delivering a grim whodunnit in a small midwestern town after the harrowing events from the film's opening scene.
Returning college student Deena (Jessica Clement) is back home and suddenly roped into a last-minute babysitting job for the local sheriff, (Ryan Robbins).
But soon the same madness from the town's unsolved babysitting murder turns into a familiar fight for survival with enough jolts, surprises and one helluva head explosion that ranks up there with one of the best. FINAL DESTINATION and ONCE UPON A TIME series regular Keegan Connor Tracy co-stars.
This is not a bad viewing experience currently streaming on Shudder. So turn the lights off, grab a bowl of popcorn and if you're babysitting, make sure you check on the children...
