•The effects of biological warfare have destroyed almost the entire humanity, transforming most human beings into monstrous creatures, a sort of zombie-vampires that feed on blood. Among the survivors is a skilled scientist who manages to discover a vaccine capable of restoring normality to those affected by the terrible disease.
Based on «I'm Legend» by Richard Matheson, «1975» is a sort of well-crafted horror-science fiction film, excellently interpreted by the legendary Charlton Heston. It is the second feature film adapted from Matheson's story, the first, «L'Ultimo Uomo delle Terra» (1964) by Ubaldo Ragona, remains superior. Nevertheless, a decent and quite enjoyable film, worth watching, provided you can't recover Ragona's film.
