REVIEWS (1)
In an unspecified future, the end of modern civilization has produced a barbarization of humans, regressed to a primitive state. A young man who is banished from his tribe discovers that the old world he longed for was actually a disturbing nightmare... Along with "The Monster Beyond the Screen," the worst film in the "Creatures of the Thrill" series produced by Stan Winston and distributed in Italy by Columbia. Superficial and rather pretentious direction, a confusing screenplay, and a couple of sequences that are truly at the limit of decency (particularly the orgy scene, without a hint of erotic content and absolutely in bad taste) make it indigestible even for the least demanding viewers. Not even the special effects, which were excellent in the other films in the series, manage to be satisfying, resulting too ostentatious and poorly cared for. The final outcome is a kind of failed post-nuclear horror, a true b-movie but this time in the "derogatory" sense of the term. Absolutely negligible!
