To inherit her fortune, a mad doctor kills his wife along with her lover; but their ghosts will awaken and give him no peace... A mediocre film that reaches its highest point in the scene where the mad doctor tortures his wife and her lover, a sequence quite "strong" for the period. The rest is boring and slow-paced, suitable only for fans of the Italian horror-gothic tradition, which, however, reached much higher levels in other films (see the films by Freda and Bava). Once again, the protagonist is the icon actress of 1960s horror, Barbara Steele.
