The Spirit of Evil has returned to recruit, with the help of his dwarf assistants and the terrible giant Tall Man, his slaves among the dead of a cemetery. Against them, the young Mike Pearson fights once again Ten years after the first "Phantasm" the Italian-American director Don Coscarelli tries again with this sequel that is almost a kind of remake, shot with more means but less inventiveness. The first part is excessively slow and completely devoid of suspense, the situation improves a bit as the film progresses but exclusively thanks to a couple of excellent splatter sequences (anthology-worthy the killing of a servant of Tall Man with the terrible metal sphere that pierces his back, tears through his flesh entering completely inside the body to then exit through the mouth!) Better than the already mediocre first chapter, there are only the special effects (taken care of for the occasion by Mark Shostrom), the rest is boring.
