•Neither the formidable Frankenstein nor the enraged werewolf represent a threat to humans anymore because they are considered dead. But that is not the case: the two awaken from their sleep and after sowing panic among humans, they begin a terrible fight between them that will lead to their elimination. Even in the distant 1940s, the "box office rule" existed, which states that sequels should be made of films that achieved the most public success. Thus, Lon Chaney returns to the role of the werewolf and Bela Lugosi is "forced", against his will, to transform into Frankenstein (a character he did not want to play). The result is an implausible and ridiculous film.
