Decent thriller-horror from the mid-70s that, as can be inferred from the title, follows the trail of Argento's first films, but which, unlike most clones of the Master's thrillers, has that extra touch of originality and inventiveness that sets it apart from mediocrity. The director manages to create a good suspense by gradually presenting the story, first weaving and then unraveling the film's plot, supported by a good screenplay and the decent performances of the two protagonists.
Suitable for lovers of the "Italian giallo".
