Un professore riesce ad individuare nella mente umana una mostruosa forza negativa, che può essere vinta solo se la vittima si mette ad urlare. La moglie del dottore finisce vittima della terribile forza e alla fine lo scienziato stesso porrà fine all’incubo. Ennesimo horror firmato da William Castle con protagonista un discreto Vincent Price. Originale il soggetto e discreta la realizzazione anche se, ad onor del vero, la suspense latita. Titolo completamente reinventato dalla distribuzione italiana (in originale il film si chiama “The Tingler”).
