A quiet small town in the American countryside is shaken by a wave of brutal murders. Tim, the son of a woman killed several years earlier because she was suspected of being a witch, convinces himself that he is the author of the murders, but the culprit is elsewhere... A "genre" director ("After Life", "American Gothic") directs John Cassavetes (unforgettable protagonist of "Rosemary's Baby") in this supernatural thriller-horror. Despite the good premises, as often happens in our beloved genre, the result does not live up to expectations: the film drags tediously until the decent final twist. Nothing to report for a horror "like so many"... negligible.
